Choosing a cruise cabin is a deeply personal decision. While some travelers simply seek a cozy spot to rest at night, others may prefer a quiet retreat to unwind, away from the ship's hustle and bustle. There are also those who love to host epic parties in a lavish suite. No matter what you're looking for, Virgin Voyages offers a variety of cabin types to suit your needs. We'll explore the advantages of each option to help you select the perfect cabin for your next vacation.

Staying true to its nature, Virgin Voyages also offers a unique approach to their on-board accomodations. The cabins are sleek, featuring mimimalist design with a futuristic flair, while the suites cater to your inner rockstar with in-room turntables and playful peekaboo showers.

With slightly different terminology than traditional cruise lines, Virgin Voyages has three standard cabin types: Insider Rooms (inside cabins)

Sea Views (oceanview) and, Sea Terrace (balcony). along with eight suite categories referred to as RockStar Quarters. Depending on your needs, there are unique bed arrangements, solo traveler options and connecting cabins.

Standard Cabins

The standard cabins are designed with a versatile layout that transforms from a bed at night to a sofa during the day, making them ideal for socializing with friends. While storage is limited and the bathrooms are compact, the functional design compensates for the smaller size.

Advisor Tip: Even though some cabins can accommodate up to four sailors, they are better suited for two. If you're traveling with a group, opting for a connecting cabin can provide more spaciousness and comfort.

If you're looking for a deal, insider rooms are usually the cheapest option when sailing with Virgin Voyages. While they don't have a window, they have a similar amount of indoor floor space compared to a Sea Terrace. These cabins vary from 105 to 177 square feet.

Sea View

You'll find a bit more space in a Sea View cabin with floor plans ranging from 130 to 190 square feet. While virtually identical to the Insider rooms, they do feature a large round porthole window where you can cozy up on the window seat and enjoy the view of the waves as you glide along. There are a few, more unique Sea View cabins that feature a V-shaped design. Some sailors find these cabins to be a bit snug between the bed and the desk due to the shape. These cabins also are available in a solo form for those who are sailing alone.

Sea Terrace

Sea Terrace cabins are the most abundant accommodations on Virgin Voyages cruise ships and are available in four varieties: Limited View Sea Terrace, Sea Terrace, Central Sea Terrace, and XL Sea Terrace. While all options have roughly the same layout, the location on the ship and the quality of your view will vary. Floor space (including the balcony) ranges from 185 to 225 square feet.

Perhaps my favourite feature of the Sea Terrace cabins is the cozy red hammock on the balony. They are custom-made for the ships by Yellow Leaf, an organization committed to tranforming communities and empowering women. These intricately handwoven hammocks are also available for sale if you want to bring one home. Note: There are a few cabins near the front of the ship that are unable to have a hammock, instead they feature a hanging egg-like chair.

Advisor Tip:   Some cabins have a limited view or may be located under a noisy venue. When you book with us, we will ensure you get the best cabin placement available for your chosen category.
